About Me

I grew up in a small town in the heart of Sicily, where I developed a deep curiosity about the forces shaping economic disparities across regions. This curiosity led me to study Economics at the University of Bologna, where I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees.

My thesis explores the relationship between family ties and economic variables such as corruption and youth unemployment, reflecting my broader interest in how cultural and institutional factors influence economic outcomes.

I am passionate about understanding the mechanisms behind inequality and the heterogeneous patterns of economic development across societies.

In 2024, I moved to Providence to pursue my PhD at Brown University.
